Problems with the Ceylon/Sri Lanka data base area
Hello,
A few months ago in each of the files records were being double posted. Eg. if the file had 1000 records, now it says 1800 etc. When i check them, it shows that huge parts of the records have been repeated in the same file. In all of the files.
I did not go into the records for Ceylon/Sri Lanka for a while. Then yesterday records started skipping 2 at a time. Then today Oct 14 2022 when i try to get to the record/s that skipped by going back, it suddenly skipped to an unrelated file/city and started on record 1. Whereas i was trying to get to record 1639 in the file/city i was already in.
Please help correct this.

@Anne-Marie Samarasinghe Can you help us see the problem by providing a few more details, please? We have several record sets for Sri Lanka and more than one way to get to the records.
We need to know:
How you are searching? Did you click Search and then Records and enter information about a specific person to see indexed records? Did yo click Search and then Records and go to a specific collection in the Find a Collection area of the screen? Did you click Search and then Catalog and search for Sri Lanka? Did you click Search and then Images to look for digitized records from Sri Lanka?
What are you looking at? Can you give us a DGS or film number that is exhibiting the problem so we can try to reproduce it?
With more information from you, we will be happy to try to discover what is going on with the record images.

It is better today. Less skipping.
A few years ago i was told to go to Catalogue Search and then put Sri Lanka as the Search by place, and author Registrar. Have been using this method for years. Maybe since 2013. It has worked well.

Its skipping much much less since yesterday. Maybe one of your workers checked into it?

Ps. this is not the film that i was researching when it skipped to another file. I cannot figure out which file/film it was. I totally lost it all.
I just randomly started to look at another film when what happened happened. That new one is Film # 007707639 which is mostly ok since yesterday.
