Just a bunch of names. Are they death names? marriage names? or baptism?

Hard to figure out. Thanks for any help

    Hello,

I think these are bapstisms. I have checked 2 or 3 of the names against the registers already indexed for South Africa and they all appeared as baptisms.

It's difficult to be absolutely certain, though!

    Hilary.

kathleenhigley1 Hi, Your batch code is only partially there (MZN)!!

We need the full batch code in order to help with your question. It should have 4 more digits. XXXX-XXX

I agree with DHilary2 they are baptisms. I went to the original record and found that this batch is from an index that covers Baptisms, Marriages and Burials.

The batch you are working on is in the Baptism section.

It is an index but it does have complete dates so I would say that it should be indexed. As I was searching through the index I saw several notes stating that some of the original registers had disintegrated.

I am no expert so just my opinion.

    Hope this helps.
