Alternatives to FS Indexing

FamilySearch indexing is a wonderful example of what is called "Crowd Sourcing"

here is a short video that explains crowd sourcing.

Many people really enjoy indexing. But some people find it a little too tedious and repetitive and just a little too inflexible.

There are similar alternative projects that some people find a little more enjoyment and fulfillment out of. and that have more flexibility.

here are a few

The Family Bible Preservation Project

(person tagging bible records to people in FamilySearch)

Some of the "fruits" of the above project:

a "sister project" to the above focused on African American Records

FINDAGRAVE

any advantages of Billion Graves over Findagrave???

I think Findagrave has like 10 times the number of grave records as Billion Graves.

some may see this as a wasted duplication of effort between the two systems.

I think Findagrave was around way before Billion Graves.

but just wondering what Billion Graves has to offer that Findagrave doesnt.
