Mergenot working on this person either
I have another person with a duplicate, and I am not able to merge the records.
familysearch.org/tree/person/details/KZPV-3DV

I talked with 2 specialists who could not help me correct this. The second referred me here.
Can anyone help?

At what point are you getting the error message? Can you post a screenshot of the message please?
I have tried it up to the final stage and am not encountering a problem.

The system does not flag the duplicate records here, because one of the two has no birth or death date. If you added one date to that record, the system would flag the duplicates. Or you could use the Merge by ID logic to merge these two records. To do that, get the ID of the duplicate that has no dates. Then go to the Person Page of the other record, and scroll down and locate the Tools in the rightmost column. Click under Tools on Merge by ID and paste in the saved ID.

I had a similar issue a few weeks back and my friend is having this issue currently with her father in law who passed this summer. In my situation I had to change something on one of the records. I standardized a date and then I was allowed to merge. So check each record for anything you could adjust. Maybe adding dates to the 2nd profile would help. Make some adjustments to one or both records and try again.

Merge is still failing.

Since there was no way to test out where the problem is without going all the way through the merge, I tried that and got the same Merge Failed message. I can't see anything on the records that could cause this. There must be something funny in the underlying data that is causing the trouble. It is probably something that only Data Administration can fix. @Graham Buckell and @jlwestra, as moderators, can either of you get this problem sent off to the right people who can get under the hood and fix whatever in these records is blocking the merge?

Is anyone working on this? The merge still will not go through. It fails at the final step, and I get the message in the picture 2 comments previous to this one. Thank you for your time.

@K Worth,
I have been able to replicate your problem and have brought it to the attention of a supervisor. It is an issue that will need to be addressed by a software engineer. Please be assured we are working on it and will contact you again when it is resolved.
Kind regards,
FamilySearch Data Administration
