agreed.
In the mean time you can easily copy and paste to your favorite Word Processor and PRINT.

True - but why should we have to is my question? Will this suggestion eventually end up with the Engineers or is it just voted on by the Community? Thank you.

of course - we should NOT have to . . . just pointing out a work around until they make the change (which I really dont have any hope for . . . since its been this way for ever already ) - so we rely on "work arounds".

There is a Story page print option. Just press Ctrl + P or go to your browser menu and select Print.
Since the Stories are in an HTML page - the print option is in your browser tools/menu. You may want to select the option to Open in a New Tab (top right) or highlight the parts of the page you want to print then right-click (anywhere but in an image area - Windows context menu) and select Print.

yeh - thats a function of your browser - and not a function of Family Search and it will give very unpredictable results because of that and because of the complex page composition of FamilySearch pages - which have a ton of scripting beyond just normal HTML
I just tried it on a long story - and it truncated most of the story from being included in the print all together.

@Dennis J Yancey In the case of truncation - yes - one might need a work-around. I find that highlighting the text then right-click on the highlight anywhere but in the image area - then selecting Print from that context menu - works. If that doesn't work - it might be interesting to know the URL for that Story.

Thank u both to Dennis J Yancey & genthusiast for your timely suggestions about the "print button!" I made the same suggestion years ago to please add a print button option, & like you said Dennis, "don't have any hope for" FamilySearch changing it. I tried highlighting the text & then right-click & selecting Print from the context menu - that worked really well & easily done!! It's been really frustrating to try & print & have it all truncated liked you mentioned.
Even if FamilySearch would include those instructions in their already existing document from the Help Center & title it "How do I add and "print" a story to Memories?" would be a big help to users.
I apologize for taking out my frustration on your kind reply Dennis. I appreciate others getting involved & wish that the Engineers would get on board also!
Thank you.

I am using Windows 10. An alternative (until a print button is added) is to click on "Actions" just under the story title, then click "Download". Once downloaded, you can go to "Downloads" in File Explorer, right click on the downloaded file, hover over "Open With" and then open that file in a word processor (you should have a list of choices at that point). That seems to work fairly well.

Also, when using the Actions> Download menu yesterday on a couple Stories I got *.txt files - which does not include any pictures attached to the Story. So if you want pictures included you may need to download those separately then edit in your favorite document editor.
