The parish register this record came from is for Kinn parish. The register covers all four sub-parishes: Kinn, Bru (aka. Svanøy), Eikefjord, and Bremanger (aka.Frøya).

The actual title as given in the source is correct: Church book from Kinn parish 1857-1885 (1437P)

The indexing batch was given the Place Name (Original) of: Kinn parish, Eikefjord, Sogn og Fjordane, Norge which is incorrect because it is backwards. If anything, it should have been Bremanger/Bru/Eikefjord/Kinn, Kinn parish, Sogn og Fjordane, Norge.

The auto-standardization further corrupted the place name by standardizing it to just Eikefjord, Nordre Bergenhus, Norge which is both incomplete and covers only one quarter of the area the parish register actually covers.

This batch should have been standardized to Kinn, Sogn og Fjordane, Norge which is what most people use or Kinn, Nordre Bergenhus, Norge which is more strictly correct from a historical standpoint.
