Copying and pasting problems

Can you please provide some screenshots as follows:
- The original record
- The original record after you have highlighted what you intend to copy.
- The result of your paste.
Hopefully it will then be possible to work out what is happening.

Hi I should have known that you would need this but I did not think about it. I assumed it was a known glitch.
For 1.--Here is one photo of the record on FS it is an England, Nottinghamshire, Church Records collection
2.--I used the Copy full record button under the Save option under the title
3.--result of my paste into my database program RM8.
This is not the only record this has happened to me. This is like the 3rd or 4th time I have experienced this.
Hope this helps and I hope there is an easy fix.

@KathyMiller1, I think the problem must be at the RootsMagic end. (I'm guessing that's what "RM8" means.)
I pasted into Notepad++ and got everything exactly as expected.
Is the Note field you're pasting into perhaps set up as two columns, but it's only showing one of them? (I haven't used that software, so I don't know what options it has.)

No, the research note on sources for RootsMagic 8 is not set up in columns. I have always done it this way and it has always worked just fine until just the last few weeks. I will check out my settings on RM8.
Something has changed on FS though since I use this function a lot!! For years in fact.

Another thing is the items I copy and paste from Ancestry do not do this. If it was RM related it would do it for all copy and pastes. I also use FMP and MyHeritage and they do not do this.

Just tried it myself. As Julia says, all the text goes into the clipboard okay. I tried pasting it in various places without a problem. I also tried it in Rootsmagic as shown above.
I think it must be at the Rootsmagic end.
Try pasting into another document such as Notepad and then copying and pasting from there to see if it makes a difference.
