Needing An Extra Eye/Feedback
Needing some help here. I need someone to look at the family Conrad Ralling in the 1850 Census, living in Green and Delhi, Hamilton, Ohio. I am needing someone to look at his daughter Dorothy who was 11 years old at the time. This Dorothy would have been born about 1839. I am wondering if this could be a 2nd great-grandma of mine; Dora Kölling? According to her death certificate she was born December 25, 1837, in Germany.

Independent of any other records, that 1850 census record could indeed be your grandmother. Do you have any records later on of her in that area? I see that you have records on them in Family Tree. ID MVTF-873. It does look like the same family in Ripley County, Indiana in 1860. I see no reason that it couldn't be the same woman.

@AnneLoForteWillson Thanks for responding. I have no clue as to where she was in 1860. She and her first husband, William Weir, had a daughter, Elizabeth, who was born in Ripley County, about 1859. Dora married Henry Bloom in June of 1861, in Ripley County.

I was running through your records attached in Family Tree and I think your tie between the two families is that daughter, Elizabeth Weir. Conrad Kelling has a child Elizabeth (Kelling) living with him, who is 2 years old. What's the possibility that might be the granddaughter, Elizabeth, daughter of Dora/Dorothy?

@AnneLoForteWillson I was thinking the same thing. Where was Dora in 1860?
