is it possible for you to delete this person GF33-WFQ
I am the daughter of Ralph Eric Pettit and he is very much alive. this Ralph Pettit is being shown as deceased. I have emailed the person who marked him dead to let them know that he is alive and his work has been done. Please advise Christine Pettit Keeler
You've initiated one of the possible solutions by contacting the contributor. If that doesn't have an effect in a reasonable time frame, the way to ask FamilySearch's assistance in the matter is to edit the death conclusion, select "living", click "save", and then type in how you know he's living. ("I'm his daughter" should be plenty.) FS staff will read what you wrote and change the status to living, which will put the profile in the private space of the person who entered it and render it invisible to everyone else. Depending on their current workload, this may take a few days, but I've not heard of it taking longer than a week.2
" which will put the profile in the private space of the person who entered it and renders it invisible to everyone else. "
Remember to save any research on that line before making the status change. If the person who listed your father as deceased made their ID# the priority number, the family tree will follow their account after the change and you will lose all of it.0
@christine keeler Just an FYI, I recently had this experience in helping my neighbor resolve the issue; it took about 4 weeks to resolve - the better part of July - so expect delays unless they have resolve the backlog of requests.0
