Anyone going to SLC library can can look up a record for me?
Hi, I'm looking to see if anyone who is a Latter-day Saint and has a current temple recommend is possibly going to the Salt Lake library for research and can look up something for me. It is in Special Collections (the Temple Index Bureau) and requires a valid recommend, and is required to be done in person. Given that I live across the country, that doesn't work for me. Can provide details to someone able to do this for me. Thanks!

Hi Kim,
I have all the qualifications, and I live in Salt Lake City where I do FHL lookups for remote researchers at Legacy Tree Genealogists. I would be glad to help you out at no charge. —Sue Taylor

Sometimes you can use a local Family History Center to do lookups into the Special Collections.

@auntsue.genealogyfoundry THANK YOU, THANK YOU! That would be wonderful if you can do it. I did have one other person I was able to get through networking outside of this community say they might be able to do it. I have reached out to them with details but haven't heard back, so let me give them a couple more days and if I don't hear anything then I will private message you with the details. I kept hoping someone would answer this. Yay!!

@auntsue.genealogyfoundry The person did reach back out to me and was able to help me. Thank you so much for your offer, and I will tuck this away in case I'm in a quandary in the future.
