Image 2 - Do I index the top entry even though there is no deceased name? If so - Why is it necessary? I assume you should index these Receipt's due to a previous question answered.

    Thank-you for contacting the Family Search Community.

    No, we do not enter the top name. We can use it to confirm the spelling of the deceased's name.

    I meant - Index the Record date only? Seems a waste of time to me.

    I would not record information for the top receipt on image 2 for the reason you pointed out, there is no deceased name recorded.

    The other three in this batch have a deceased name. I agree with your correction on the first image.
