I was going to go in just to correct her standardized birth place to be British Colonial America, not United States. Is it read-only because there is a complex merge research in process? The candidate merge (LY21-879) appears to be the same person (same parents), but one has her first husband, and one has her second husband? Aah: but the childrens birth dates overlap with the marriage dates, and there are children born over a 39 year span. Maybe not the same woman? In any case, curious about what's up, and I wish you or I could update both standardized birth places to be Hartford, Hartford, Connecticut Colony, British Colonial America.

    Hi Jim,

When a person shows as read only it is because have a sensitive issues label as an early church leader so no edits are allowed a bit like the prophets etc.

I hope this answers your question

    Kind Regards

    Evelyn

It might be worth challenging the reason this person is read-only, when her parents and spouse are not.

In theory, you have possibly been given a correct reason why Rebecca's record is locked, but mistakes can be made, so - in spite of the total mess involving this branch (including 3 versions of Rebecca under Samuel & Esther) - I would ask for this issue to be examined more closely by a specialist team.

As long as the record for Jesus of Nazareth (see LDLR-236) remains editable, I just don't buy the standard response for why these records are read-only.

In view of your response, Paul, I escalated the case of Rebecca and it is now being reviewed.
