So many users of FS Memories simply think of it as a way to upload and store their family photos and documents - which it is.
BUT many people totally miss the many opportunities that exist to provide opportunities to gather items on a common popular subject, or to gather items of a particular record type.
and many people don't realize you can create albums of items that OTHER people have created in Memories that were of interest or along a certain common theme of interest,
The Pony Express Album is an example of that
A much bigger example are thousands of Family Bibles that are part of the Family Bible Project

again these types of albums/projects - allow people to be part of something and to share something that is beyond just their own family tree. People have an opportunity in so many ways to "give back" to the genealogy community as a whole - and no just selfishly always focus on their own direct line and never be involved in something that can benefit others in the genealogy world.
