For Family Search
I was nearing completion of an advanced batch of mid 19th century Virginia birth, deaths, marriages, due today July 18, 2022, when at 9:30 am it was pulled out from under me! Do you know how much time I spent on that? Somebody is pulling these batches too soon and now I can't get it back. This makes me very upset! If you want us to continue indexing and reviewing please be nice, I thought we had until the end of the day to complete on the day it is due not early in the morning. I don't know what department pulls batches on the day they're due, but when this happens it makes me think that they're going home early, etc. this is not the first time either this has happened: KINDLY stop pulling batches early especially those that are advanced and not many people are working on them!

I believe that it's an automated system, based on hours from the time you downloaded the batch, in the same way that a FindMyPast subscription (or other paywall website) will end in the middle of the day because you signed up in the middle of the day.

Family Search is on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Batches expire at midnight GMT and are automatically pulled. This article explains why batches have expiration dates.

We are sorry for the misunderstanding. Your work is not lost even if it was not completed. Thank you so much for being dedicated to getting these records ready for the researchers! We need you!

Could someone kindly tell me how to delete my original comment? I could've written it nicer, always seem to speak before I think, not very tech savvy either.
