Bug Report - Detaching Sources
I was poking around in sources today and found this.
Here is a System source I have attached to the appropriate person: https://www.familysearch.org/tree/sources/viewedit/3PL1-F4Y?context
Notice the the Delete link is active and if I click on it I get this:
It should not possible to delete a system source. I assume that if I put in a reason statement and clicked Delete nothing would happen. I hope. I didn't try.
Shouldn't this delete link be in-activated for system sources?
Or is this some type of philosophical set up in that a source does not exist until observed? That a system source is actually different than the actual historical record and does not really exist until a historical record is attached to a Family Tree record? So the source can be deleted while not affecting the historical record?
This raises the question that if I accidentally attach an incorrect system source, is it better to delete the system source I created on accident or is it better to just detach the source from the Family Tree person leaving a source floating in the system that is connected to a historical record but not to any Family Tree person?

I tested this in Beta on my great-grandmother's baptism, and it doesn't appear to do anything different from what "detach" does. The indexed record is still there and can be found using Search. So I have no idea what that stuff about "system" is actually supposed to mean.
