Should I include Projetto as part of the name

Abandoned children with unknown parents were named "Projetto" after their invented cognome. Should that be included as part of their name?

    Here is an interesting articles about "Projetto" (castoff) chldren. As time went on, the word Proietto turned into an actual surname. Also the word Esposito......

    The project instructions under the section "What To Remember About This Project" are really detailed on how to handle these abandoned children's names on birth records. I think the same would apply for the name on their death records.
