Today, I attempted a search for District of Columbia records by typing it in the Place Name section on the Catalog search page. Although I clicked on the link that came up, and I also tried typing in name variations, each time “No results” appeared. in the past, I have accessed D.C. records through this Catalog search feature many times. What happened to the D.C. records?

I am having the same problem with Chester and York, South Carolina record searches. Also tried search for Christian County, Kentucky and get the same "no records found" message. I was looking at the Chester Co., SC records last Saturday. What happened?

I figured out a possible work-around. Type in the place name you are searching for in the Subject field on the Catalog page.

@MikeCitaraManis The problem with place search in the catalog has been reported. While we wait for the engineers, try a keyword or subject search as a workaround.
