Why can't I attach the 1900 Census
Howard W. Arnold GDZZ-QB8 is in the 1900 Census with his father John (James J Arnold), his mother Annie, and sister Mabel (Mabelle). I have been able to attach it it his mother and his sister, but FamilySearch will not allow me to attach it to Howard or John. It places John as the father and also as a child to be added. I finally added it from Ancestry through RecordSeek, but I should be able to attach it in FamilySearch. Can you help with this problem?
Thank you.

There is a known glitch in the index of the 1900 census.
@N Tychonievich another one, please and thank you.

@lindamaypeterson While we wait for the FamilySearch to investigate issues with the index for the 1900 Census, you can use the census image as source directly. Here is the link to the census page that includes the Arnold family: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HT-62HT-NT?i=22&cc=1325221&personaUrl=%2Fark%3A%2F61903%2F1%3A1%3AMS3P-7DC
Here are some Help Center articles that explain how to use images as sources:
