It looks like in the 5 years since this article was written that things have changed with the importing of photos from connected accounts. I too see that currently you can only import from Google Photos.

Thank you for the clarification. Frankly, I was more than mildly surprised when I saw that we could import images from Facebook into FamilySearch.
