My recent messages are not showing on the main screen where the message appears and you can answer. On the pane on the left side the message will appear, I can click here I will see a short introduction to the message but not the whole message. I have checked this on multiple computers and it is the same on all of them.

What browser are you using (is it the same on all the computers)? Sometimes Chrome works better with FamilySearch. It also might be possible that some security might be blocking the messages. What does your screen look like (it might help if you post a screenshot)?

I am using Google Chrome, Windows 10. I tried it on my desktop, my laptop and 5 different computers at the Idaho Falls FamilySearch Library. no one else seems to be having this problem

Ok ... hmm. The messages look normal. If the message is long it is normal for the entire message not to be displayed in the reading pane at right. So if you select the message - just click in a whitespace area on the right hand pane - you are unable to scroll down (using the mouse wheel) to see all of the complete message? Don't try to use the scrollbar - it is not what functions to scroll the message (weird) - you just need to scroll with your mouse to view the rest of the message - I believe.

So if the complete message is off the view - you should be able to use the computer scroll functions to see the rest of that message - just scroll on the message area itself not the scrollbar.

You do not understand. I am an experienced FamilySearch user and use the messages all the time. The message for June 20 does not appear at in the Right panel. I can't click on anything to open the message. None of the things you mentioned work. You are assuming I don't know what I am doing.

There is a Setting> Notifications (under your Profile menu) to allow text messages when a user send you a Message in FamilySearch - but enabling that or not should have no effect on receiving/reading messages. You are right - I don't quite understand what it is that you are experiencing. It looks like - in your screenshot the message for June 20 - to/from KarenHall79 - is displaying in the reading/right-hand pane.(??) I have never been able to 'open' a message in a separate window (if that is what you are saying) - I have to read the message in the reading/right-hand pane - by scrolling down.

So I am sorry I could not help - I could not duplicate your issue - I am able to scroll/read entire messages. It's probably time you check with FamilySearch Support - if you haven't already. Check in the Help> Contact Us and give them a shot.

    Good luck.
