Can you fix a problem I created?
Jon Persson and Annika Persdotter (Larsson) were married 29 December 1851. They show up on the Household Record for Rojborkeby 1851 to 1855, but not in the same household, and no children are noted. But there is a note regarding their marriage. No children are listed on this record. But, on further investigation, I determined that they had a son who died. He was added in tiny writing under Annika's name. I had previously added this child to her parents, thinking it was their son. But on searching out his birth and death records, I confirmed that Annika and Jon are the parents. When I tried to correct the error, I was able to change the father, but not the mother. Now it appears that Annika's mother, Anna Stina Noren, is another spouse for Jon. This is not correct and she must be removed from his record and he from hers. Following are the PIDs for the people involved. I recently made a similar mistake, and you were so gracious in repairing the damage. So thank you for helping me again as I blunder along on my journey to find my Swedes!
Annika Persdotter aka Larsson PID MWZS-H77
Jon Persson (Annika's husband) PID 9S6Y-3VG
Anna Stina Noren (Annika's mother) PID LH13-T5B
Per Persson (The child) PID GHD9-2WX

Someone must have done this for you before instead of explaining it well enough. Here is how you can do it yourself.
The key to editing relationships is the little paper and pencil edit relationship icon next to a couple event and and next to each child's name:
The couple and the parent-child editing work a little differently, but it generally works best if a child is involved at all to use the icon next to the child's name. Clicking on the one next to Per as circled above opens the relationship fly-out box:
Here is where things get a little confusing. You have three choices to "remove or replace" a part of the relationship. You can remove just the father, just the mother, or remove both the father and mother by using the link next to the child. In this case you want to completely remove Per from both parents. This does not change the relationship he has with Jon and Annika! This is because Per has two relationships with his father Jon: one with Jon linked to Annika and one with Jon linked to Anna. You do need to remove that duplicate relationship with his father.
Clicking on the bottom Remove or Replace brings up this screen:
Just to be completely clear: The red X showing that you are removing Per as a child of Jon and a child of Anna means that you are removing him as a child of Jon+Anna, but not as a child of Jon+anyone else. Click the box next to "I have reviewed..." to active the buttons:
Click "Remove Parents":
Add your reason for your change then click remove and you are done.
Good luck! You will find this is actually pretty straight forward once you have done it a few times.
