They've hidden the controls at the bottom of a disused file drawer behind the door labeled "beware the leopard".

To get an actually-useful descendancy chart, you now have to click three times: fish/eyes button, the number 4 on the resulting drop-down, then fish/eyes again to close the drop-down.

(The button I'm calling "fish/eyes" is actually supposed to be sliders, like on an equalizer in a fancy stereo system, but to me it looks more like a pair of mismatched eyes, or fish swimming in opposite directions.)

Family search is making life more complicated every day. Why fix something that is not broke. Now I have to learn about fish eyes, etc. We no longer can print our ordinance reservation list and use it as a worksheet to keep track of what is being or not being done. Again it is a lot of searching here and there and hoping for an answer. At 85 I guess it is time to quit and I will no longer help those who want help because this changes daily and I can not keep up with it. Is there an older version somewhere for us oldies? I do not see any update information.
