Source Call Numbers etc
Hi,
I can see that years ago (old format) on Ancestry, someone had located a marriage between an Arabella Ansel and Joseph Newbery on 24 Oct 1733, Ickleford, Hertford, England. However, I've done a search with both/either names with out finding the record. I also searched via the batch number (7119516) with no luck . I also could not find it via the source call number. Can you locate the marriage, and why can't I find old records with batch numbers now?
Thank you
Kelly

I just found this on the Hertfordshire Archives website - see https://www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/ufs/HALS_MARRIAGES.eb?T_USER_ID=xyz_TEMP_99&UVISITOR=1_1654858081592&T_ORDER_ID=455855&SF_EXACT_SEARCH=false&ebd=0&ebz=1_1654858081592
You might wish to contact the repository to see if you can obtain a copy of the document - and/or whether they hold the parish register copy, too. The "Add to list" link on the page suggests photocopies are not cheap - they appear to cost £10.40.

@songbirdkc The number you cited as a batch number is in fact a DGS number. You can search the catalog by film or DGS number and find it. Here is the catalog page:
You'll notice a camera with a key over it in the Format column. When you click the icon, you see a message that you can view the images at a family history center. Here are instructions for finding a nearby family history center:

I have been unable to find any source for this marriage within FamilySearch, but (in case you have not located these) have found the Family Tree and IGI pages relating to Arabella Ansel (and Joseph Newberry - variant spellings).
Her Family Tree page is at https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/ML4X-BS9 and in the Genealogies (IGI) section of the website she is found at https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/2:1:MGQJ-13C.
I could not find the marriage record indexed in Find My Past, Ancestry or FreeREG.
Regarding the batch number issue, I know you can search on some batch numbers, but probably only those relating to the Extraction program (prefixed C, M, etc.)
