FHC Portals

Hi there ,

I work in the Nelson FHC in New Zealand #406953

As of Monday we have not been able to access our FHC portals. (have tried every day since, but nothing has changed)

It will allow us to go as far as 'view all sites' then tells us that we are blocked,.

I did work through the configuring with a support person (Diana Hawksworth - who by the way is excellent to work with and knows what she is doing) today, but it has made no difference!

We still do have access to the internet however.

Any help would be much appreciated !!!

    There has been ongoing issues with the Portal over the last couple of weeks. Sometime it works sometimes it doesn't. There has been no Official Announcement published anywhere, that I'm aware of, relating to the issue.

    Having wasted several hours trying to resolve the issue, I contacted someone who knew someone, who was able to confirm the issue. Mostly fixed now, but there are several smaller issues that have yet to be resolved, but might take a few more weeks to be fixed!

    When concerning technology, I've found that Familysearch is very bad at communicating these issues to those on the front line (I'm a Stake Technology Specialist). A simple banner on the homepage would go a long way to help!

    As of Monday we have the same as you - mostly fixed, but still some smaller issues !

    Will continue to check.

    I do agree ! It would be very helpful if the communication between FHC volunteers and the Family Search people would be more readily available and apparent. It would save a lot of time for many

    Hi Norm


    Will this solution work anywhere? Has anyone tried it with success?

    We have tried as you directed but the only message we get is that this centre isn't recognised as a FHC and it doesn't turn green, no matter how long we wait

    We have now used this method to repair the extension on Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. Based on the above post it should work worldwide.

    @Ken Richins - NAO Tech Support Lead Could you arrange to have an announcement somewhere where more people will see it? I've been sharing your comment about the update every time I see the question asked, but it would be great if there was an announcement to help everyone see it. Thanks.
