Numerous Batches marked incorrectly as NED
I just wanted to let someone know that there is a large number of batches being marked as No Extractable Data (NED), even though they are mostly readable and should be indexed according to the project guidelines. This problem has been going on for at least a couple of months. Normally I return the batches for reindexing, but I have hung onto a few of them in case you want to look at them (see links below). They are all located in the Ireland, Cavan—Church Records, 1740–1913 [Part A] web indexing project.
Thank you for your support.
Shawn Riley

If you want to return them for reindexing they will go to a review committee after 3 returns then a decision can be made about what to do with them.

hi @annewandering - https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/125983/numerous-batches-marked-incorrectly-as-ned#latest all these batches from Shawn Riley come up as access restricted so I guess he's already returned them - that makes it impossible for anyone else to look at the shared batch to see if there are any other answers to the question of whether they should be corrected in Reviewing which is part of the reviewer's job/task/opportunity -- just my opinion 😎

Yes when they returned we can't do anything more with them. If they are returned repeatedly then they are sent to a reviewing committee.

Sorry, the NED batches have all been returned. I'm sure I can find more. They come in almost daily - sometimes as many as 10 in a row. Looks to me like someone does not know how to return batches correctly. I was hoping FamilySearch could track down the person and maybe find out what's going on.

Hi @Shawn Riley about the NED batches -- looks to me like someone is checking out 10 batches at a time, then when they can't read the handwriting , they're returning them and checking out more -- looking for something they can read -- so I'm tagging @annewandering to escalate this further 😎
