Memories not maintaining order

Spent hours sending back and front of photos through the Memories App from my very hostile brother who prevented me easy access to my mother's photo albums. I found that they went into my Gallery with the front and back next to each other, the front the photo and the back baring the inscription from my mother. I would open both and transcribe the back in notes for each photo but there were so many I did not complete. Recently went back in to finish and found all the Gallery in disarray with no longer having the front and back next to each other, or maybe not even there. Unable to tell.

While this won't solve your issue with the order of photos you have already uploaded, perhaps it will be useful for your future uploads and for others with a similar issue.

I use my photo editing software (free) to attach fronts and backs together so that they cannot be accidentally separated.

you can also put the pictures in an album and then arrange them in the order you want and they will remain in that order.

or you can also put a group of photos in a pdf document (using WORD and then saving in PDF)

this way again you retain your own order inside the PDF.
