Duplicate sources and hints.

When reviewing hints, I check to see the hints that are already attached as sources. If the sources is already attached I do not want to duplicate it. The computer does not seem to recognize it is already attached. i.e (L7GM-BKT John Heslop)

    Thank you for posting your question in the Community. We appreciate your concern about attaching duplicate sources.

    Here is some of what it says:

    Please attach all record hints, even if they appear to be duplicates for the same individual. Do not mark them as "Not a Match."

    The article go on to state, " Be aware that when you dismiss apparent duplicates, it can prevent the hinting system from finding record hints for the person in the future."


    Please read the article because there is an exception to the above information. That is, if the URL's of the record hints are identical. The article will give instructions about handling that.
