Whenever I go to family search site my X to click out of it disappears. Is it something I am doing wrong? or is it family search?

now I have a problem. Whenever I go to family search site my X to click out of it disappears. Is it something I am doing wrong? or is it family search? I do not have this problem with other sites. Even the 1950 census

I may be missing something, but when you sign out of FamilySearch, there is a Sign Out feature located in the drop down menu under your name on the upper right side of the page. Signing out with the X is a browser function as you close the tab opened for FamilySearch. If I am missing something, please clarify. Thank you.

you are totally right -

"sign out" is the way to go

but why would FS be playing with the X tab feature of the browser in the first place as the user reports.

is this happening on MAC or Windows?
