Is there a way to see what date a film was indexed?

In other words, perhaps I did a search a year ago, but did not browse unindexed films. I want to search again, but not waste time if there are no new records for the category or or no newly indexed records.

    @DebbieRose

    Some collections are indexed over a fairly long period of time and FamilySearch do not even provide a breakdown (say individual place names within a county, or time periods) in their monthly reports of new and revised online collections. So, in a similar position to yours, I have had to struggle to find what the added records represent. If FamilySearch keeps logs it seems reluctant to share the data within them with users, causing us a great deal of wasted time in not knowing whether whether the specific material is new to the website, or whether we have already checked it out.

    I don't know whether it shows elsewhere, but if I look at a country page, such as India, (located from the main Search Historical Records ( https://www.familysearch.org/search/) there is a entry for each of the databases "Last Updated"

    Unfortunately, I find that kind of information to be pointless. In what way was the collection updated? Not necessarily by adding new records (if so, what specifically has been added?), as I was once advised that even additional "waypoints" would constitute an updating of a collection.

    I realise Debbie's issue is slightly different to the problem I regularly encounter, but the end result is the same: no way of finding out specific details that might lead to not having to waste time in establishing if any - or what - new records have actually been added.

    Thanks for weighing in, and confirming what I thought...!
