Dear Ms. Tennant:
I am new to this service and started putting in data and unfortunately clicked on a link so it now says my grandmother is Katie Porter - she was not my grandmother, Kate Hamilton was my grandmother. How do I get rid of this?
Thanks!

Person had a KW number which I understand to be a person that did their own Baptism, etc. It was been merged away. Is there any way to restore the original KW number? It was merged into another Record early on and several times after that.

The numbering system doesn't specify those who have their own membership records. The KW prefix was used when some of those records were being loaded into FamilySearch when it was first seeded. However, not all KW numbers represent those with LDS membership and other prefixes also have those with LDS membership.
