Need someone to change sex? of Howard Brundige

I am trying to attach the following to Howard and Dorothy. The image clearly states Howard is Dorothy's husband, but family search has Howard listed as a female (wife). This is creating problems attaching it to records.

Yes, I played around with it a bit and was finally able to do it--but unfortunately, I can't remember what I did if I should have to do it for another record. Thank you for your response!

That particular set of indexed record can't be edited and FamilySearch doesn't do individual edits like that. So all we can do at this point is put a note on the source regarding the error. I did see when I clicked on the link you posted that you did attach the source just fine so there is nothing more you need to do.

I am glad you were able to change the sex for Howard Brundige. Those errors and not uncommon. In the future for reference, i have attached the instructions on how to correct the sex listed in Family Tree.

@CraigWArmstrong, he did not need to change the sex for Howard Brundige in Family Tree. It was never wrong there so the article you posted does not apply in this situation. However, it is good for him to know if he was not aware of this. Blacjak's stated problem was that the indexed record was incorrect and was in a record set that does not allow editing at this time. As you can see in my screen shot, the indexed record, on the left, still shows the incorrect sex but he was able to get the Source linker lined up right despite that.

@Blacjak, the way you fixed this, which I'll remind you of so you can do this quicker next time, is to use the Change link in the blue bar on either side to force who the focus person is:

Clicking on Change allows to you pick who appears right under the blue line on either side rather than accept the program's best guess and make the two sides line up the way you want them to.
