Is there a way to split the screen so that the index codes can be seen for the location

of deaths?

Not within the program, but, your computer and whatever browser you use might allow you to have two windows open. Then you could have the locations in one window and the indexing in the other.

I just made me a printed copy of the place of event chart. I fold it to size and tape it to the side of my monitor. Works great!
