All passengers on WW I troopship are indexed as Female; How to Fix/Report this?
How do I go about fixing or reporting this issue of all the men on this troop ship being labeled 'female?'
Thanks,
--Jim
Here is the reference:
"Canada Passenger Lists, 1881-1922," database with images, FamilySearch

We looked up the URL that you gave us and we do not see any sex related to the Passenger list. Do we have the correct URL?

@fmadkins @Jim (Red Canoe) Stevenson
The only reference to gender that I could find on the URL was the relationship of the dependent to the crew member or passenger. Not sure how all the men were indexed as 'female' though. With nothing recorded on the document, I would have thought it should have been 'blank'.
However, the first part of the listing concerns the vessel's officers, which as HMTS Cardiganshire, in 1918 would have all been male, and the second page is headed 'Nominal role of men to be discharged in Canada', so it would appear that all the records should be designated as either blank or male, but certainly not female.
Kind regards,
Barry

Thanks, Barry. @BarryJohnson and @fmadkins
We are on the same page.
Does this trigger someone's reporting/fixing the information? That the my intent of my original post.

Thank you. That link takes me to page 3 of a 14 page manifest of the troop ship 'Cardiganshire.' (My ancestor, Edwin M Venables is on page 10/14. See this source attached to his profile here: https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:2HGL-K5N)
Anyway, below the image is the 'Image Index' tab. There, in column two, is the indexed Sex - in all cases 'Female.'
Is that what you see? Let me know.
