Page numbers bug?
Hi all, starting today I am experiencing the new strange behavior that occurs on almost any film. The total pages counter is jumping to different values every time you reload the page (the same page).
See this one for example (hit F5 several times):
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HY-6S39-J3R?cat=337624
First noticed around 6hrs ago, and still continues on almost every DGS.
Anyone with the same issue? Thanks!

I am not connected with FamilySearch
There are two other posts which are having problems
https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/123503/missing-frames-in-microfilm-viewer#latest
Perhaps @N Tychonievich can pass on to the relevant department.

The Hungarian genealogy email list had reports of this same problem this morning, and in replying to it, I experienced it myself.
My limited testing suggests that it's affecting the film-number-based image counts, but not the waypointed-collection-based counts.

I also experienced the issue in Slovakian Church Books. Parallel with the fact that the number of pages displayed is changing, there a re missing pages from the collection. These pages are different when I re-open the film.
(I hope it will be solved soon, because at this moment I don't know how many of my references using picture numbers are invalid.)

Other threads about the same problem:
https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/123556/film-8153047#latest
The two last ones (which are in the Search category) have replies from a mod: "This appears to be a problem also noted by others with other records. We will send this report up to be evaluated further. Since the engineers are upgrading the catalog, it may not be possible to correct these records yet. But you should hear one way or the other. Thank you for calling this to our attention."
I fail to see what possible relationship there can possibly be between the catalog upgrade and the image viewer, but the important part is that the problem has apparently been "sent up the chain". Hopefully we'll get a response soon from someone In The Know.
(I picked this thread to reply to because it's the only one that doesn't assume that the problem is limited to whatever single film the person was working with.)

Just checked @morning - and confirming that the issue is still be there. :(
>>Since the engineers are upgrading the catalog, it may not be possible to correct these records yet.
I don't think that it has anything to do with "these records", as it is happening with most of records that I've visited to check. Those records I have already downloaded to my hard drive earlier before, so I know the exact pages number in those for sure. And now the same records are shown [online] with different pages count+missed pages. Once again: those records were all OK just a week ago, but not yesterday+today.
I really think that it is the bug that came with the latest site's update yesterday (there was the yellow notification on the pages header "We are doing modifications, the update will take 30min, some functionality will not be available, blah blah". The issue starts after this update yesterday morning (my assumption).
Thanks,
Taro
