Record merged but displays as father

Martha Lindsey GC6P-ZWD sex was displayed as male but other sources show it as female. Changed sex to female but she was shown as the father in a family relationship. She was merged with Martha A E Howeth KP4F-RV4. Her duplicate children were merged. Cannot move her from the father's position.

Fixed the problem by merging the children then deleting the link to the mother in the wrong parent position.

I thought, that may be the case; as, there is ONLY one Parent ...

I would humbly suggest, adding the OTHER Parent, to those Children ...

That may even sort out the problem/issue ...

[ ie. So that you do not have to do any "Swap" ... ]

I merged the appropriate children then deleted the Duplicate Mother (in the father slot) with no father and the problem disappeared. Thanks for the memory jogs. A mind is a terrible thing to lose and mine is straying.
