How can you change the date of birth on an official church birth record?

My father in law was born on 05/20/1922. He is still living. We have his birth certificate that shows this date of birth is 05/20/1922 but his blessing certificate from the church says his date of birth was 05/26/1922 and his date of birth on all church records shows 05/26/1922. He will be 100 next month and we have been working to make sure that his date of birth is corrected on Medicare, insurance policies and other documents. How can we get it corrected with the church?
