An area of the tree that I work with has recently become polluted with numerous duplicates (probably in the hundreds!) seemingly due to a user uploading and merging a large but poor quality GEDCOM file full of incorrect surnames.

Any way of getting this "undone" automatically, as it's going to take me days to sort otherwise...

    @pr0706

    FYI

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

    Just in passing ...

    Ah ... GEDCOM Flies ... the 'scourge' ... of the "Family Tree" Part, of 'FamilySearch' ...

    Unfortunately ...

    Short Answer: NOT by us Users/Patrons ...

    'FamilySearch', most probably can.

    But ...

    That Said ...

    'FamilySearch', DOES NOT, that is left, to us Users/Patrons, to address/fix.

    There is NO easy way, to REPAIR, the DAMAGE done, by the "Upload", of a GEDCOM File, into the "Family Tree" Part, of 'FamilySearch'.

    It is more often than not, just plain, 'hard slog' ...

    You are not alone ...

    Been there ... done that ... still do ...

    Good Luck.

    I know, that this certainly does not help/assist; but, I hope, that this may provide you with, some additional, insight; and, perspective.

    Brett
