One of our family members shows to be deceased from a geninf100 entry. How do we find out where that information originated and how to correct it?

If geninf100 was the contributor, you should be able to click on the name and the option to send a message will pop up.

If the person in question is still alive, then follow the directions in the following Knowledge Article

    Hi @SherryGunn,

@Graham Buckell provided the important link to help you read about how to create a ticket to have the system administrators change a record that has been created as "deceased" to make them "living" in Family Tree.

We really respect the privacy of living individuals, and only the person who contributed the original record will be able to see the record when the correction is made through the online ticket you create, but would you please also make the original contributor aware of any details you have about this common ancestor?

So often people mark a record as "deceased" simply because they found a source that names them in one of our Historical Records collections. This additional article explains how to use the FamilySearch messaging feature to communicate with those who enter information into Family Tree. I hope you will find it useful.
