I would like whoever is messing with my family tree to remove the latest entry of Schneidermann off of the Bottemiller family tree. They are not related and certainly not the father of any Bottemiller. This is really upsetting and I want it to stop. Whoever Robles is has messed it up so bad I get lost trying to research it myself. I want that name off my family tree.

The FamilySearch Family Tree (FSFT) is a single, collective family tree for all humanity. There is no "my family tree"- no one owns or has any special rights to any person or information. Any FamilySearch user can edit any deceased person in the tree. I know this fact can be a surprise and upsetting, but that's the way it is. There are plenty of other websites and software packages that allow you to build a personal family tree that no one else can edit.

You should try and contact the person (using the FamilySearch messaging system) and have a evidence-based discussion so that you can resolve the dispute. If it becomes clear the person is a vandal or is highly incompetent, then you can report the person to FamilySearch, but there's a very high bar for this. Simply disagreeing about genealogical facts is not enough to justify FamilySearch intervening.

You can also "follow" people in the FSFT. That makes it easier to see the edits made to them, so that you can take action if inaccurate edits are made.
