Church Service Missionaries
Just curious if any Family History Centers have Church Service Missionaries serving in their centers.

Hello, I personally am a Church Service Missionary and serve as the Librarian in my local Family History Centre. I know others in my Missionary Team, who likewise serve in their local Family History Centres.
However, I am not aware of Church Service Missionaries being specially called to serve in Family History Centres.
Cheerio for now!

Br and Sr Neville are CSM and are in charge of the FHC in a Florida FHC. They called in on the monthly zoom meeting called Center Chatter Thrs Apr 21 and identified themselves as that.

As a Church Service Missionary I also serve in out Stake FHL as a volunteer. As long as it does not interfere with my mission it is good.

@Tamara Stevenson Hi, welcome to FamilySearch Community. I am also a Senior Service Missionary serving in support of FamilySearch Community. Our local Aberdeen, Scotland Stake Family History Centre is run by a fellow FamilySearch Community Support Senior Service Missionary and I help out there on Wednesdays and Saturdays by choice. I am able to count the time spent there (approx. 8 hours per week) towards my mission (generally 20 hours per week, including my time at the FHC.) I am aware of other members of the mission seving in this capacity although it isn't a condition of such missionary service. We do it because we enjoy doing it.
Kind Regards,
John L. Kennedy.

Thank you to those who have responded. I should have clarified. I am wondering if any Church Service Missionaries working in your center were called specifically for serving in the center.

@Tamara Stevenson, hello again, and greetings from Bonnie Scotland. I think we can say that, although many SSMs volunteer in the church FHCs around the globe, most of them are there because they want to be there, and not by assignment. Also, several of them may have a church calling such as Temple and Family History Consultant which will inherently expect a certain degree of assistance in the FHCs. I hope we have answered your query clearly, and hope that you are getting lots of assistance at your nearest FHC.
Kind Regards,
John L. Kennedy.
