Search layout
Why doesn't the scroll bar (on the right) work unless I make the FamilySearch webpage full-screen ?
I need to be able to see the info that I already have in my own family tree programme when I'm searching, so it's awkward and annoying (and seems ridiculous) that I have to cover that up just to be able to move around the FamilySearch screen.

@Heather Graham_5 It does make it nice to be able to have multiple screens open. I'm not sure why you aren't seeing the scroll bar. Can you tell me are you on windows or Mac? Which browser are you using? Can you send a screenshot? Sam 🙂

I can see the scroll bar, Sam - but it only works if I have the FamilySearch webpage full screen. I've tried both clicking in it and trying to move it manually. I use Mozilla Firefox and Windows
Below is a screenshot of my desktop - and, as you can also see, I'm still using PAF on my laptop and, after all these years, it's still the best family tree software !!

I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
Just in passing ...
I am not quite sure, why the "Scroll Bar"/"Slider", DOES NOT, work in the situation, that you describe ...
Experimenting ...
I just had BOTH, 'FamilySearch'; and, "Ancestral Quest" (ie. the upmarket "Version" of PAF) open; &, on screen.
And, I was STILL able to use, the "Scroll Bar"/"Slider", in 'FamilySearch'; WITHOUT, having to make 'FamilySearch'; as, "Full Screen" - ie. it worked just fine, in the "Smaller Screen" mode.
In this instance ...
I am using, the "Browser" of 'Google' "Chrome"; and, the "Operating System" of 'Microsoft' "Windows10" ...
And, both, with the LATEST "Versions" of each.
I wonder ...
Perhaps, your problem/issue, may have something to do with, your Computer; and/or, the "Browser"; and, "Operating System", you are using.
As, looking at your "Screenshot", it looks like you MAY be using, an OLDER "Version", of a "Browser"; and, "Operating System".
IF, such is the case; THEN, I humbly venture to suggest, that may be the cause of your problem/issue.
Because, the "Scroll Bar"/"Slider" works just fine, in the situation you describe, in the current "Versions", of a "Browser"; and, "Operating System".
Just my thoughts.
I hope, that this may help/assist, somewhat.

Hi Brett. Yes, the scroll bar/slider works if the webpage isn't quite full screen, but at that size it still covers most of my family tree window - just as it's covering most of the Family Quest window in your screenshot. So I'm wondering if your scroll bar still works if you make the webpage narrow enough to see the all the info in your Family Quest window at the same time.

I just made it, that "Size", to Keep my work "Private" ...
And, I forgot to mention, that ...
When, I reduced the 'Window', to about ¾ (or, thereabouts) of a Full Screen...
▬ I could NOT use, the actual "Mouse Pointer", to "Move", the "Scroll Bar"/"Slider", up; or, down ...
But ...
That Said ...
▬ I WAS able to use, the "Centre Wheel", on the "Mouse", to "Move", the "Scroll Bar"/"Slider", up; or, down ...
So ...
That Said ...
There comes a "Size", of the 'Window'; when, the "Mouse Pointer", will NOT work, to "Move", the "Scroll Bar"/"Slider", up; or, down; but, that is offset, by being able to use, the "Centre Wheel", on the "Mouse", to do so.
I am sorry ...
I did not expand on that ...
I had a few things going on, at the same time ...
I hope, that this may help/assist, somewhat.

Thanks, Brett - I'll try using the centre wheel.
