Nathan...(13Apr2022) We understand from a missionary couple in our ward that are trainers of senior couples at the Provo MTC that the FamilySearch.org and ChurchofJesusChrist.org website PASSWORDS are no longer linked. Trying to login on my app on my cellphone is not giving me the option to login with the church account. Is there something I need to do to get that to work?

On a FamilySearch browser you can sign in with either your Church account or with your FamilySearch account. The FamilySearch apps only allow for signing in with your FamilySearch account. Some users keep their user names and passwords the same for both accounts.

I accidentally merged my family tree with a 5th cousin’s grandfather. Now his grandfather is my grandfather. How do I remove his grandfather as my father?

On the person record that survived the merge, you can unmerge if no additional changes have been made or you can restore. Please check out this Help Center article for more information: How do I undo a merge in Family Tree?
