Error in record

That is an easy fix. I reviewed the mother Mary Ann McDermott and there is a hint for this son Edward and the death date is 11 March 1932. A simple typo so you can fix the date and attach the source to both mother and son to document the information.
This is a collaborative tree so if you can improve it with sources and documentation then make the correction to help someone else. There are several sources that can be added to the family.

Hi Richard.
It looks like the death date should be 1932 or the birth date should be 1778, or maybe you have a completely different date, but either way, the dates can be edited by going to the Person page and clicking the Edit icon by the respective 'error'. You can then amend the data to match your findings, but be sure to enter a reason for doing this. Add sources and notes to support your alteration, which will help prevent further spurious changes.
I have added a Knowledge Article about this below. Click on the URL or copy and paste it into your browser.
Kind regards,
Barry

I realize that I could have simply changed one of the dates, however without proof I would not make a change. I am assuming that whoever entered the data would have to proof to make the change. I wanted this source fixed for anyone referencing this site.

@Grace Howard, if you're talking about a conclusion in the shared open-edit Family Tree, then you can refer to the help article that Barry Johnson linked above. If you're talking about something else, you'll need to be more specific.
@RichardHeidecker, part of the open-edit concept is that there are very few requirements. Sources are always good, but nobody has to prove anything. If you notice a typo, you can feel free to correct it.
