FS is getting more and more unstable

I have lost count over the past few days that FamilySearch is coming up with "Something Went Wrong". Before this, I was a champion of the site. Now, due to its instability, I am going to use other sites instead.

Is there any hope of maintenance to make Family Search more stable?

    @Ros Haywood

    This does not necessarily indicate a maintenance issue. This page is sometimes displayed when the program is "confused" by your search criteria inputs. It was very common when the new Search interface was first introduced, but at least appears to be less of a problem more recently.

    As an example, a place input - without an added date (or perhaps vice versa) - used to cause the "Something Went Wrong" page to appear and there still seem to be a few combination of entries (inputs) that cause a search to result in this behaviour.

    It appears with *every single input* that I make: a name, a location, and a date of birth, baptism, marriage, or census (one at a time!). Also if I am clicking through from a WikiTree profile which has a FS source citation, I click on the URL which *FS* provided - and get "Something Went Wrong".

    Yes, but I can say the same thing about Ancestry.

    Guess what. A genealogy event of the server-clogging magnitude happened this week. The USA 1950 Federal Census is out and people are indexing, browsing and searching more than usual. This could be the reason.

    Your internet provider also can be a factor. There are a lot of people on the internet and problems will occur.
