Do we need dates (military days, months, years) for ,"Enlisted and Officer Muster Rolls"?

On Enlisted and Officer Muster Rolls I noticed sometimes it does not have dates (Military days, months, years). Are the records still useful if they don't have dates. Can I submit other useful information like names and turn that in?

Every record is different, so not every record will have a military date (or even full date). With these records, mark the corresponding fields blank and index the what you see. Ex:

You are requested to use the reference images to capture the date from the beginning of the muster roll. That date would be used on all the records for that roll.

    The project instructions:

    • The date at the top of a roster or roll may be used for all entries as the military date if the entries don't contain their own individual military dates. If a day, month, or year is not given, it may have been recorded on 1 or more images prior to that one.
    • When multiple dates are present on the image, please choose the military date based on the following hierarchy:
    1. Enlistment date
    2. Muster roll or monthly roster date
    3. Any other applicable military date

    Hi @zacharyboydcampbell1

You should look on the reference images previous to your batch. An earlier image might have the first page of your roster with the date on it. I’ll bet it’s within a page or two. Please post the Batch Code and someone will help. With the batch open click on Batch> Share Batch and post what you see there.

To reveal or hide the reference images, click on the 4th vertical icon - on the left side of the screen. It looks like an open (reference) book.
