How do I index this?

Should the fathers on lines 4 and 5 be indexed? This batch I downloaded was partially indexed, and the original indexer added the fathers. I don't think they should be added, as they are just listed as fathers, not passengers. I think if they were passengers, they would have their own lines.

Thank you,

Becky

Please do index all names on passenger manifests. That helps so much with assembling families! These manifests directly link North American immigrant families with their families back in Europe.

Nothing in the Project Instructions indicate or General Indexing Guidelines indicate that you should index additional entries. These two entries are part of three that look to be Russian. The entry before them could be another relative. This reference to their father by name would be a clue to the researcher to follow not the indexer.

Have you tried sharing your batch? Someone who could see the headings (if there are any) and more of the page might better be able to help you.
