I am reviewing US Missouri-County Marriages 1806-1969 [Part P][M9YY-7TD] ". When column heading is titled "Names of Parties", may I assume which column is the bride's names and which column is the groom's name? For the "Reference Number", there is no page number on the index page. Should I use the book & the page number found in the column for each entry?

May we have the shared batch code so we can look at this batch?

The General Indexing Guideline is Not to assume gender by the name.

The Project Instructions do not show an example of the Marriage Index format, or any form with column headings.

Poorly written forms can make indexing challenging, and if @annewandering agrees.

Since this form is in English, from the United States, you can look at the first names in both columns and see that the second column is likely the Bride's Name and the third column the Groom's Name.

To annewandering, Yes, we can share a batch. That would help.
