1840 Census, Kentucky, Harlan county, some records skipped during indexing

I am researching the Harlan County, Kentucky federal census for 1840 and discovered that not all the entries have been indexed. Some names have skipped. For comparison purposes, I have attached 2 screenshots of the same image, one from FamilySearch and the other from Ancestry.

Is this the appropriate forum to ask that this be corrected? It seems a very sad mistake.

To put context into why I was so upset when I discovered this. Two of the family groups I am researching are associated with the surnames Fee and Noe. I only noticed Manning Noe when I was recording the date ranges of David Fee's children, and since Manning is not indexed, he would not be returned on a search.
