Alexander Findlay Macdonald- journal online?
Hi! I am a descendant of relatives of Alexander Findlay Macdonald, and am very interested in the mission work he did in Kintail. All my family there are Macraes and Macdonalds, he was the cousin of my gggreat grandfather. Does anyone have any information about the journal he wrote, or the one written by his son Aaron? I know there is a physical version in the library in Utah but does anyone have a digital version of it scanned? I know some pages are linked to individual's pages on familysearch but it's scattered and difficult to know if I have them all.
This journal contains such a wealth of information about my ancestors and I would be so grateful for anything I could find.

I believe all the genealogical information gathered by A. F. Macdonald was shared with the Kintail parish/environs a number of years ago - and that the genealogical society there has greatly expanded the descendancy of the whole community. I do not have a link/source to direct you to for online records but in email will direct you to the best source I know that can give further direction - especially in reference to the journals.0
Good Morning Catriona,
The reason why I answered your question this morning is that my mother's maiden name was Macdonald, as is my middle name. On searching Alexander Findlay Macdonald 1825-1903 KWN2-J85. I discovered that Alexander is the husband of my 11th Cousin 3 times removed.
There is a wealth of information on his person page, and I thank you for that. I can find no trace of the journal that he wrote.
My only suggestion to you is go into to your nearest Family History Centre, and ask them to get the information from Salt Lake City for you.
I hope that you will write back so we can exchange family information.
