At the bottom of every Family History Center website is a “Volunteer” banner, but it does not allow you to click on it for more information on how to volunteer at that center. It would be helpful to know what kind of volunteer opportunities are available.

if it is possible to volunteer at a center, why is it not listed on “JustServe.org”?

    Jenny

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

[ And, I happen to be a Member of the Church ... ]

[ And, I have been a Staff Member, of Family History Centres", of the Church, for many Years ... ]

    Just in passing ...

    To better help/assist ...

Question: Are you referring to, the Web pages/screens, in the 'FamilySearch' "Wiki", for each "Family History Centre"?

    Please advise/clarify.

As, at the BOTTOM, of each Web page/screen, in the 'FamilySearch' "Wiki", for a "Family History Centre", there is something like ...

    image.png

    OR ...

    image.png

Is that what you are referencing?

    Because ...

IF, it is; THEN, you will need to contact the particular "Family History Centre" directly.

    Whereas ...

IF, you are referring to the "Volunteer" Link, at the BOTTOM of the pages/screens, in 'FamilySearch'; THEN, that is another matter entirely.

    Again ...

    Please advise/clarify.

    'Thank You' in advance,

    Brett

    Furthermore ...

For those, who are Members of the Church ...

To properly "Serve", at a "Family History Centre", of the Church; as, a 'bonified' "Staff Member" ...

Technically, one should be, "Called"; and, "Set Apart", for such; or, in the least, be a Ward/Branch, "Temple and Family History, Consultant", within the particular Stale/District (or, a Multi Stake, jurisdiction) ...

    Whereas ...

IF, you simply want to help/assist; on, a "Volunteer" basis (ie. Under "Supervision"), rather than a "Staff Member", at your LOCAL Stake/District "Family History Centre"; THEN, the best course of action, is to speak to either,

    (1) the Ward/Branch, "Temple and Family History, Leader" of your Ward/Branch; and/or,

    (2) the Stake/District, "Temple and Family History, Consultant -- Family History Centre", of your Stake/District

.... [ ie. the latter, was formerly, known as, the "Director", of a "Family History Centre", of the Church ... ]

    about your desire to help/assist.

Such matters, are handled individually/independently, by each Stake/District; and/or, "Family History Centre".

[ ie. Depending upon the NEEDS, of each individual, "Family History Centre" ... ]

    Good Luck.

I hope, that this may help/assist, somewhat.

    Brett
